Sometimes life takes an interesting turn.  I was wrapping up the details for my landscape workshop in Florence and Fiesole this June when a text came from my friend and super workshop host, Debra Zamperla. 

"Can you teach the figure workshop in Florence again?"

So I am returning to teach The Figure in Florence, for the third time,  May 24th-June 2nd.  Detailed information is located at the website Artensity.org  Below is the description of the workshop.  I would love to have you join us!

This workshop experience will combine instruction with discovering the treasures of the city and immersing yourself in Italian art, culture, and cuisine. You'll stroll through the city's cobblestone streets in the footsteps such as Dante, Galileo, and Leonardo da Vinci. You'll visit the city's most renowned museums and learn how to cook an authentic Italian meal. We'll also take you outside of Florence to visit the medieval city of Siena.

Your accommodation is in an apartment located in the historical center of Florence, mere steps away from all the city has to offer. Comfortable, welcoming, and typically Italian, it will be your home in Florence for the duration of the trip and a great base from which to start your Italian experience each morning.

This workshop is titled "The Figure in Florence" and like Florentine artists of the past, you will study figure and portrait painting from a live model. The class size will be kept small to allow for plenty of individual attention from the instructor.
