Day Three: I felt anxious the first two days about finishing a painting for the challenge.  I think that anxiety drove me to over fuss parts of the painting yesterday but forcing myself to finish was a wonderful lesson.  Today I awoke and gave myself a no noodle challenge.  I went plein air painting in the bitter cold.  Do not be too impressed because I stayed in the car with the window down.  The chilly temperatures and moving light challenged me to create the composition based on the cobalt shadows then finish it even as the shadows shifted dramatically within the two hours.  This little school-house has stood in this spot for almost a century but with a hole in the roof and the shutters falling I'm afraid it may be it's last year standing.
