One more prequel while I am away.  I went plein air painting with a friend in late December.   We like to go painting from our cars in the wintertime, where we can stay nice and cozy.  I decided to try out my watercolors.  They are very portable and easynto set up in the front seat.  The problem was that the day could no make up it's  mind if it was sunny or cloudy and neither did I.  I liked the first version which was a gray day but when the light changed i decided to change the painting and found that watercolor was not as forgiving as pastels and oils.   It would have been much smarter to start a second painting.  My next plien air attempt I will commit to one type of lighting and stick with it.
